Testing tools:

We use the IBM-Rational Test Suite. A basic set of automated testing functionality would be:
  • Automating test cases. Individual test cases need to be automated and subsequently incorporated into the System library of test cases.
  • All testing results must be captured and evaluated against a benchmark set of expectations. The results of this evaluation need to be reported at a detailed level.
  • All of the tests need to be modular and configurable based on the nature of the feature under test.
  • Regression Testing automation.
  • Stress Testing Automation
  • Test to break testing
  • Multi platform testing
  • Object level testing

Defect Tracking:

We use IBM-Rational’s ClearQuest tool for Tracking/ reporting defects. This tool provides for the capturing of change specific data and is able to distinguish between defects and bugs.

For ease in tracking defects/ bugs the tool captures the point of error insertion, the point of defect/ bug manifestation, the conditions for reproducing the error, the person initiating the defect/ bug report, and many other event specific data.
